MANI MONDAYS!!!

So each Monday is when I do my nails for my work week. My nails are almost always painted & I love doing designs; so I figured I'd share with you all! Its really important to prep your nails so your polish and hard work last as long as possible. So lets get started!!!

1) Take off nail polish & wash your hands with hot water to soften up your cuticles.

2) Push back your cuticles & cut them.

3) Cut/file your nails (i also like to lightly buff my whole nail bed, this way your polish has a slight rough surface to really grip & attach too)

4) Apply your base coat. I love Posche's. It dries completely but has like a sticky almost finish to it so you polish sticks on really well! You can purchase this line at Sally's Beauty.

5) Then you polish is next. I always do at least two coats. Always wait a couple minutes in between coats so drying time isnt as bad. This week I used a polish by Christian Dior. Yes I know its WAY pricier, but Im just IN LOVE LOVE LOVE with this color, and truth be told Dior polish lasts me the whole week without chipping! The color is 511-BEIGE CRISTAL.
6) Designs are next! Be creative! (a cool tip is going to JoAnn's or Michaels and buying some 99cent acryllic paint, use a thin brush or toothpick for your nail art, wait for it to dry completely and apply your top coat. This saves a lot of money, cuz you can buy 5 or 6 big bottles of paint, compared to 1 bottle of tiny nail art polish!)

7) TOP COAT and your done! Now my ALL TIME FAVORITE top coat is by Seche. It is just FREAKING AWESOME! Its an awesome thick ultra shiney top coat. But I lost my bottle somewhere in the car & I lost it in the depths of the Rav. :-( SOOO...I had to resort to my 2nd favorite top coat which is by Sally Hansen. Its the acryllic coat. Super awesome, thick shiney, and it lasts n lasts!

8) I finish off each mani by lathering on a lil magic on my hands to help fight winter dry skin. Some olive oil, coconut oil, & a couple drops of essential or fragrance oil. You want to make sure you use double the amount of olive oil, or else your mixture will solidify because of the coconut oil. This is also awesome for your feetsies after a pedi; your elbows, knees, or anywhere that needs some extra luvin!

VOILA! Hope you ladies like, and stay tuned every Tuesday for my MANI-MONDAY looks!

KOREANA RESTAURANT (Korean food is very healthy for you & sooo DELICIOUS)

For $7.99 you get your Entree a side or rice & 4 out of control sides! Made freshly everyday; kimche MY ABSOLOUTE FAVORITE and the other three which I have no clue what they're called but they are amazing! Bean sprouts, some kind of green stalk, & regular greens. This is the only place in Buffalo where you'll get such freshly made Korean at such an amazing price!

I recreated one of my favorite sides from Koreana. It was surprisingly super cheap and SOOO DELICIOUS! Its great for lunch and very healthy. I bought all my ingredients from this tiny little market on Elmwood. I bought a huge bag of these watercrest greens for 99cents!! Doesnt get any better than that!

These were the ingredients I used. 1/4 cup of soy, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 TBSP of peanut butter & 1 tsp sesame seeds. Mix all of these together to form a thick liquidy consistency, and add it to your cleaned greens. All I did was wash then and get rid of the wilted greens. Its best when fresh, so I dont recommend making a huge amount, because you dont want your greens getting soggy!

I'm so busy with work, that I dont get to spend enough time with my Mama. She works too, and so our scheldules are never forgiving. We dont get to spend as much time together as we want; but we do make sure that once a week on her ''supermarket-errand day'' we get together for lunch. We both have a passion for food, and love trying new foods and discovering cool new spots! Koreana is one of those cool spots we discovered. Its located off Niagara Falls Blvd in the plaza that The Salon Professional Academy is in. Its literally right behind the school. I highly recommend this place. You wont be disappointed!!!

Ten Minute Morning Routine

As if it's not bad enough having to wake up early; let alone get up even earlier to get ready! I am not a morning person AT ALL! I'm pretty much evil before my cup of coffee, so the more sleep I can squeeze in the happier I am. Don't get me wrong though; I do not leave my house to go to work looking unkept or like I just rolled out of bed. Especially being in the beauty industry I need to look my best everyday so when my clients and customers see me I showcase not only my skill, but products! Looking good however DOES NOT mean needing to spend an hour getting yourself together. Here in this video is just one variation of a quick morning routine. A variation of many! Looking good is easy; and I'm here to show you how!!! Stay tuned for more variations of speedy morning routines & fun makeup tutorials!
